Thomas Street Building

UTS CITY CAMPUS, Thomas street building – Custom reusable formwork for class 2 surface finish. The Thomas Street Building is one of the new buildings proposed under UTS’s City Campus Master Plan, a $1 billion transformation that will redefine UTS and Sydney’s southern CBD.

At ground level, it features some intricately shaped columns supporting a ‘building flyover’. McConaghy Composite Solutions produced a reusable 6.4-metre-high formwork capable of supporting the weight of the wet concrete during the pour while achieving a class 2 finish.

Working closely with the contractor’s engineers, McConaghy fabricated and delivered the required formwork, including the structural steel bracing.
