Yendys (Renamed Rodd & Gunn Wedgetail)
Yendys (now Rodd & Gunn Wedgetail) was built for an Australian owner by McConaghy Boats and was the first Grand Prix yacht to come out of their China Facility. Designed by Reichel/Pugh it is a 16.8 metre long high-tech carbon fibre/ composite racer, fitted with a conventional keel, Yendys has proved to be an exceptional racer. Its impressive race record includes placings in the Rolex Trophy Series, Audi Gold Coast Yacht Race and a sixth in IRC Division 1 in the 2009 Rolex Sydney to Hobart 6th IRC overall and 1st in Division 1 in the 2006 Hobart and 3rd in Division 1 in the 2007 Rolex Sydney Hobart.
